From the day I began, the fast-paced and creative environment was everything I was hoping for as an aspiring design engineer. I found myself constantly ideating, iterating, and challenging the traditional way of doing things.

Given Ocado Technology was my first in-depth internship, my main goal was to better understand the relationship between developing products in the workplace and what we are taught at university. My role within the Autonomous Mobility team was to be a hardware technology engineer, specifically working on storage and customer interaction with autonomous solutions.

My 6-month placement at Ocado Technology as an innovation engineer gave me the opportunity to hugely develop my engineering, design and workplace skills. During this period, I was involved in engineering complex mechanisms, collaborative CAD, rapid-prototyping, storyboarding and user testing within the Autonomous Mobility team.
