The future of music production
The future of music production
Brain-computer Interfaces (otherwise known as BCIs) are systems that allow users to control devices using neural activity alone. Given its ability to decode thoughts and imagination, this technology can revolutionise the creative process. Specifically, it can help amateur and professional musicians explore, plan and save musical compositions when they feel most inspired. Musical inspiration can occur at any moment, whether it is on your way to work, on a family holiday or during an emotional experience. In many of these instances, musicians do not have access to their instruments or production tools, making them resort to jotting down notes or recording voice memos. Cadence Note is a portable tool that captures musical imagination so that musicians never miss an opportunity to create. When inspired, the user can wear the device and begin visualising their song. The device will be able to decode pitch, rhythm, timbre and space to create detailed drafts, which can be developed at the studio.
